Dorothy Carlo Memorial Scholarship for Clinicians of Color
Dorothy Carlo was the wife of George Abbott, Ph.D., a WMass EMDRIA member, WMass EMDRIA conference speaker, and EMDR Senior Teacher. Dorothy passed away in December of 2014. Marilyn Luber, Ph.D., author and EMDR clinician from Philadelphia, has made a donation to WMass EMDRIA in Dorothy's memory. Another local EMDR clinician has matched this donation. In consultation with George Abbott, it was decided that this money would best be used to offer full-funding to 2 clinicians of color to attend the Annual Conference on April 9, 2016. We have continued this every year since. Please consider applying for use of these funds if you are EMDR trained and identify as a clinician of color.
Update: January 27, 2020: The DC Memorial Scholarship for 2020 is closed, as all fund have been awarded at this time. In the case that this changes, we will update this page.
The Scholarship will be open again for the Conference in 2020. Please check back in January 2020 to apply.
